384. Antoine (Bellaire) PATIN

Antoine was born in St Salpin Parish, du Borg of Morian in Dauphine, Diocenese of Grenoble, France. He was listed in the Pointe Coupee census as a carpenter. He immigrated to the Louisiana Territory and was in Louisiana with his wife in 1727. He and his wife immigrated to Louisiana as part of the Dubisson Concession, a group of entrepreneurs licensed by King Charles to develop the newly acquired Louisiana as they saw fit. Pointe Coupee was selected by the consessionaires because of it flat appearance, actually an oxbow of the river.

His youngest son Jacques, b. 1726, would marry Marie Louise "Julie" Barre. Their son Alexandre, b. 1 Nov 1765, in PCP, would become "Lieutenant of the Militia" and their daughter, Marie Louise would marry Jacques Etienne Roman in 1777. Jacques and Marie's son, Andre Bienvenue Roman would become "Governor of Louisiana" for two terms. Their daughter, Josephine Roman would marry Gabriel "Valcour" Aime considered to be the richest man of North America at that time. Valcour, educated in France, modeled his 14,000 acre plantation in St James Parish after the Palace of Versaille.

Antoine's son Antoine Jr., b. 1723, married Marie Anne Rondot, 2 Jun 1749. Their son Jean Jacque (Joseph), would marry Marie Augustine Porche,1 Aug 1769. Their son Hypolite, b. 26 Aug 1788, would marry Genevieve Hebert and their son Celima, b. 1815, would marry Celeste Honore, 1844. Their son Benoit, b. 4 May 1853, would marry Josephine Dupot. Their son, Querens (Quarance), b. 4 Sep 1907 would marry Eula Gauthier,24 Dec 1940. Their eldest child, Cherry Ann, b. 24 Sep 1942, married Frank Joseph Boudreaux, 19 Jun 1967. They have three children Renee Marie, Frank Jr, and Brian Anton. Frank Jr., b. 20 Jun 1970 married Kathleen Green,9 Apr 1994. They have two sons, Frank III and Jordan Blake. Renee Boudreaux, b. 31 March 1968 married Galen Joe, 10 March 2001. They have three children, Jillian Tyler, Gabrielle Olivia and Grant Anderson.

Antoine Jr's. second wife was Anne Marguerite Mayeaux. Their daughter, Marie Patin, b. 30 Nov 1768, married Louis Verret, "Captain of the Militia", and son of the Governor of Valenzuela dans Lafourche.


390. Jean George POCH (POCK)

Jean George was a weaver and appeared in the census in 1724 in the Village des Allemands and in 1734 in Allemands.


408. Albert DECUIR

Albert migrated to Louisana with four of his children and 135 families from Macon, Hainaut, now Belgium, in 1720. He settled in Pointe Coupee Parish and he and his grandchildren prospered on False River. Anyone in the US bearing the name, DeCuir, probably descended from Albert's son Jean Francois DeCuir. His other son only had daughters.

Several of Albert's grandsons were large plantation owners along the Mississippi Valley and the Teche. Many of them served in the Pointe Coupee Militia which was part of the Galvez's Army during the Revoluntionary War, making descendants eligible for membership in clubs such as Daughters and Sons of the American Revolution.

Albert's son, Jean Francios, b. 1704 would marry Genevieve Mayeux. Their son, Joseph Antoine (Sr), b. 30 Oct 1752 would marry Marie Francoise DeBeaulieu. Their daughter, Celeste, b. 1795 would marry Francois Honore (Pere). Their daughter, Celeste Honore would marry Celima Patin in 1844. Their Son, Benoit b. 4 May 1853 would marry Josephine Dupot. Their Son, Querens (Quarance), b. 4 Sep 1907, would marry Eula Gauthier, 24 Dec 1940. Their daughter, Cherry, b. 24 Sep 1942 would marry Frank Boudreaux (Sr) on 19 Jun 1967. Their Son Frank (Jr), b. 20 Jun 1970 would marry Kathleen Greene on 4 Apr 1994and their daughter, Renee, b. 31 March 1968 would marry Galen Joe on 11 Mar 2001.

Pierre immigrated from France on the "Profound" in 1721.


496. Jean (fils) Francois ALLAIN De Brittany

Francois Allain de Brittany, (b. 1702 - d. April 1782), a captain in the French army, played a conspicuous and distinguished part at the Battle of Fontenoy <http://www.britishbattles.com/battle_fontenoy.htm> in 1745, where he bore, as captain of his regiment, the standard of France -- i.e. the fleur-de-lys of the Bourbons. For his bravery Louis XV de Bourbon (1710-1774) </wiki/Louis_XV_de_Bourbon_(1710-1774)>, King of France bestowed upon him a sword of honor. Later he was posted with his regiment to Louisiana as commandant of the [Attakapas Post] and subsequently established himself as a planter in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana </wiki/Pointe_Coupee_Parish,_Louisiana>. The Allain family operated several plantations, including Margaret Plantation </wiki/Margaret_Plantation?action=edit&redlink=1>, a sugar cane producer, in the 1850s.
